Free Stand-up Comedy Workshop Saturday May 16th at 2pm!
Posted by: Andy Engel
Hi,
Our last free comedy workshop "Anybody Can Do Stand-up Comedy"on Saturday, April 18 at Comix was a huge success. We had over 260 people! The crowd felt like a comedy show crowd not a workshop crowd. When I spoke I threw out my script and improvised because I was inspired by the energy of the crowd. All the speakers rocked, Harlan Halper the owner of Comix, Tom Leopold former writer for Seinfeld and cheers and my teacher Cory Kahaney who has done half hour specials on HBO and Comedy Central. Cory was also one of the finalists the first season of "Last Comic Standing".
A lot of audience members got inspired and signed up for the class that day. Due to overwhelming demand we decided to schedule a second free Workshop on Saturday, May 16 at 2pm. So if your friends are always telling you how funny you are and you'ev always wanted to try standup comedy, heres your chance.
Saturday, May 16th at 2pm (1: 30 check-in to insure a seat)
at Comix 353 west 14th street (btw. 8th & 9Th Ave)
Space is truly limied so please register on-line at: http://www.manhattancomedyschool.com/workshop.html
