Learn Comedy from Professionals
The Manhattan Comedy School faculty is made up of professional comedians and comedy writers. All are currently working in the industry, so they provide a unique and in-depth perspective on comedy as both an art and as a business. Both the standup school and improv classes teach basic comedic principles and draw out students’ inner creativity, as well as explain the audition process and life in the comedy industry. This helps students learn comedy by approaching it from all angles.
The Standup School Program
Standup school workshops consist of one night class a week for six weeks and finish with a graduation performance at Carolines On Broadway. Students learn comedy and audition techniques to help overcome stage fright, improve public speaking, launch a comedic career or pursue a new hobby.
